On Monday evening Restaurant Magazine published their rankings - The World's bedding experts 50 Best Restaurants - with the best eating places in the world, by a large-scale gala show in London. Noma regained the square top of the list, after having been ranked number 2 behind Spanish Celler de Can Roca at last year's allocation. Geranium also got tailwind this year and went 3 places up to number 42nd
The big award show from London bedding experts overall the gastronomic world elite for an evening where the best eating places in the world were celebrated. Although the list does not have the same illustrious history as the little red guide Michelin, 50 Best Restaurants list is just as important for the restaurants. A top spot on the list means full houses in the future, so there was more than just a pat on the back to win on a quiet Monday in London.
Last year we saw Noma lose 1st place for Spanish Celler de Can Roca, with the three Roca brothers in the lead, after Noma had been sitting at the top of the podium three years in a row. Unfortunately, this meant also that Noma could not tangent El Bulli's impressive streak with four first places in a row on the coveted list.
Restaurant Magazine's 50 Best Restaurants is called gastronomy's answer to the Oscars, and there are still some similarities. The world has been divided into 26 regions, where over 900 international jury members bedding experts can vote for their favorite. They have 7 votes each, and at least 3 of their votes must fall on eating places bedding experts outside their own region.

Besides Noma and Geranium was Restaurant Relay in Nørrebro bedding experts also honored with a 53. place. After last year's place as the number 56. we hoped, and many others that Christian Puglisi bedding experts and the rest of the team from the relay had managed to enter the Top-50 only.
