The view from our room window! Impire State Building seen through "curtains" of construction scaffolding ... and actually not that far away. Knitwear is there - but manufactured .... and yarn shops you look for, at least in Manhattan. I found one at 135 W 29.street and 8th floor. Not just to random customers who just "get by". On the other hand was fantastic and Japanese: Habu-Textiles. So there are steel and silk yarn home!
Most exciting knitwear was actually not expected, where it was: the High Line. It is a converted, former elevated railway that now is absolutely beautiful park where you have used include bobby jack sleepers and tracks to create works of art - it is a nice path along the west coast of Manhattan.
