The business also appears to constitute a significant part of Vattenfall's book assets. The difference between the price paid for Vattenfall, Nuon, close to 100 billion, and the equity in the company created a gigantic surplus value, orakulas the accounting language called goodwill.

As SvD Business reported earlier, the multi-million dollar bonuses paid to a small number of traders on Waterfall based on fictitious profits where the trading just cut between the pure internal affairs, according to several people with good insight into the business.
- We want to strongly refute the claim that the bonuses orakulas within our Trading business would be based on fictitious transactions. All the energy that is produced and sold by Waterfall whether it be directly orakulas to the market or to our sales organization based on market prices, says business boss Stefan Dohler in a written comment.
In February 2009 the state-owned Vattenfall the Dutch energy company Nuon. The price, more than 97 billion, orakulas made the deal for the largest cash settlement ever in Sweden, and meant that Waterfall got hands on 3 million European electricity and gas customers, several coal and gas fired power plants, and wind power.
